Lesson for the day : Sometimes It's Alright to Make a Fuss.
Let's rewind.
I had an extremely busy morning.
Case 1
I went out to ss2 market at 6.30am with grandma and mum. There was a festive feeling in the air even though it was still dark. Businessmen and women alike set up their stall at their allocated spots. The whole street was filled with Chinese New Year decos. Not an inch of road was left untouched. No space to walk at all. It's really awesome. Simply speechless.
Sorry for not describing the feeling in photos. I will try to capture a few shots but only with the permission of the stall owners. They are a bit touchy when it comes to this.
Case 2
I came back and unpacked the fresh goods into the fridge. Then, I had to change straight away as I head to Tesco to buy groceries. Mum and I bought quite some stuff as everything finished at home. Nothing much la.
Case 3
Headed home to dump the fresh goods into the fridge and headed out to Midvalley. Mum, sis and I reached Midvalley at almost 10am. So, there were many people there already. Again, we went to Carrefour to check on some groceries. Milo was cheap so we bought. Plus, it came with free 200gm of Milo but had to claim from the Customer Service counter.
When we were at the cashier, the queue were horrendous ! The cashiers were slow despite having at least ten being open. Slower than tortoise. I am just grateful I didn't have to wait until I am 50 for the line to end.
When we were done paying and everything else, sis went to collect the free Milo packs. The Customer Service counter were even slower. With two staff handling the counter versus a herd of customers, the outcome is never good.
Here's where out topic starts.
There were two lines but because everyone was standing so close to one another, they couldn't see it. Still, it wasn't that transparent. They were ignorant and blind. Typical Malaysians. Then, when I stood at the second line, the girl next to me questioned me.
Girl : Excuse me. *gave me a look from up to down*
Me : *stays quiet but gave her a killer look*
Girl : *shuts up due to embarassment as she realizes about the second line. *
Me : *satisfied*
Wait. wait. Me not done yet. More satisfaction to come.
I felt so malas to stand at the line as both are barely moving. Since my sis was lining up too, so I just left and stood at the side to mind the groceries. Here comes to bad news.
Sis : They have ran out of the free Milo.
Me and Mum : That's just bulls**t.
This is where things got interesting. Mum and I created some havoc which left the management in embarassment.
Me : *speaks in Hokkien* They still have the packs. They just refuse to bring it out.
Mum : Yeah la ! They are always like that. Dunno what is their problem.
Bla bla bla moments later.
It was sis' turn. They issued some vouchers to her. Then they quietly gave the Milo packs to her even though they told some customers earlier that they had ran out of it.
Moment of triumph !
The customers looked stunned.
Mum and I felt satisfied.
Let's analyse this situation critically.
1. The ad said that for every 2kg of Milo, it comes with a free 200gm of Milo in a mini pack.
2. If Milo had every intention to promote their drink, they would definitely supply the same amount of free packs to the retailers.
3. Customer Service is always lazy. And they want to keep the free stuff to themselves. - A tip from the insiders-
So, yeah. Sometimes it's alright to make a fuss.
As a customer, remember the TWO RULES that define ALL customer - business relationships.
Rule #1.
Customer is ALWAYS right.
Rule #2.
If customer is wrong, REREAD RULE #1 !!
Till next time.
